The Kuwmaz Carve system incorporates a revolutionary patent pending spring system that replaces conventional polyurethane grommets used to control truck hanger rotation. Both the front and rear springs have specific arrangements for a consistently performing uni-directional board regardless of the spring tension settings.

The Kuwmaz Springs far exceed the performance capabilities of polyurethane grommets by enabling the truck hanger to rotate to its maximum turning position and articulately return to zero turning position when the load is taken off the board. The spring arrangements are fully customizable enabling riders to tune the responsiveness of their board based on the truck used, personal riding preference, and the terrain. The springs are virtually indestructible under normal operating conditions and are also rebuild able making the Kuwmaz Truck Spring System the most advanced truck dampening system on the market. Spring tension adjustments are made by tightening or loosening the kingpin nut and have an infinite range of adjustability. From extra stiff to super loose for generating speed, the Kuwmaz Spring System makes urethane grommets the technology of yesteryear.

Independent 149 Stage 10 Trucks

The Trucks used with a Kuwmaz Carve System are critical in determining the boards turning capability. While virtually every truck available is compatible with Kuwmaz Technology, Independent Trucks are ideal. Clean accessible design, low profile, and having a truck hanger rotation that exceeds any truck in its class makes the already favored Indy’s the Kuwmaz truck of choice.

Canadian Maple Deck

The deck is a critical element of Kuwmaz board performance. Length, width, thickness, contour, and nose / tail kick are all key factors that determine how a board will ride and feel. The Kuwmaz Carve System surf-skate is a uni-directional 9” x 33” 7 ply Canadian Maple deck featuring a single concave that produces a live and snappy flex. The 9” width accommodates the largest of feet while the 31” wheelbase offers stability on downhills and speed-generating carvability on flat and uphill surfaces. Premium epoxy finish seals the veneer and adds a rock hard finish that helps retain deck life.

Kuwmaz Carving Wheels

Extensive R&D went into the development of the Kuwmaz Carving wheel. Carving wheels need to be fast, grippy and quiet so riders can focus on riding rather than surviving. Kuwmaz Wheels are 82 durometer and have a height and width of 66mm. Kuwmaz wheels are manufactured in the USA using the most advanced urethane technology available. In the case of inferior wheels the urethane is simply cast around the wheel core producing a sluggish riding wheel that slides or chatters under extreme carving loads. Kuwmaz Wheels on the other hand are chemically fused to the wheel core producing a silent ride with asphalt gripping control.

Bearings

Bearings with integrity are a must for efficient speed generating carving especially on flat and uphill surfaces. Extreme carving produces gravitational force and a significant amount of lateral stress on bearing components. For this reason every Kuwmaz Carve System comes with trusted Bones Reds bearings. The beefy cages of Bones Bearings sufficiently withstand the lateral load generated by carving and are a higher quality bearing than you will find on any “complete” board available.
